Lake county

Lake County is nature's playground with its beautiful mountains and contains the largest natural lake in the state of California.  These rankings are a snapshot of our health and provide a starting point for change in our community.  As we are learning, these outcomes are influenced by where we live, learn, work, and play.

American Lung Association Score Card

The American Lung Association uses a grading system that awards points to each county of California in four areas of tobacco control:

  • smoke-free outdoor spaces
  • smoke-free housing, reducing tobacco product sales
  • Emerging issues (such as, flavored tobacco sales ban)

Please check our community pages to see how each of our counties are graded.
